Manrill and Femris. ;P

I just wanted to do a gender swap. I don't think I've seen one of Merrill, but I have seen one or two of Fenris and some of the other guys. I tried to stay true to their character when switching genders. I always find that gender swaps, particularly the male to female gender swaps, tend to....I guess....over do to. They usually look like the hot anime girls with big boobs and very little clothing. So I just slightly altered Fenris's armor to look a little like the clothing some of the female elves wear in the game. And I also kept his hair short since it would be easier to manage for someone constantly on the run. Merrill, is pretty much the same, except for her belt.

As I was drawing this, I began to think that if these two had been the other gender, I can easily see them being one of the few popular pairings (that doesn't involve Hawke) in the fandom. And the reason I think that is because they would be the typical anime/sitcom couple archetype. The sweet, naive, Dalish guy that warms the heart of the ice queen.

They would be the Mr. O'Neil and Ms. Barch (OMG! A Daria reference! How many of you kids out there know what I'm talking about? XD).

I still picture Merrill as sweet and naive, and it looks like you managed to capture that side of him/her here. Fenris is as cold as ever. I love that you managed to keep them looking like themselves. :)

Merril is still so derpy. It's hilarious. I'm glad you stuck with keeping true to the characters instead of turning them into caricatures or hentai fodder.

These two look very cute like this. And for some reason, Fenris loks veeeeery appealing. I'm glad you make them look like their proper selves while gender swapping them. Don't see the point of swapping Fenris to female and then making him look like Isabela. >.>
