An assignment for my computer intro class.

We are making business cards and a letterhead advertising ourselves. I had like 30 thumbnail sketches and it took me a week to choose one. My teacher said I had a couple of good ideas and I settled on the one because I believe this best reflected me and my style.

When designing I tried to look back at my other class at AI when we had to design logos for ourselves, but I was still having a hard time. I started talking about my class at AI with my current teacher and she just gave me a weird look. I told her about the process we had to go through and even showed her the list my previous teacher gave us.

She read the list over and basically said this is a bunch of bullshit and that my previous teacher sounds anal. She told me that this list is good for making logos for businesses, but not for making logos for artists- especially yourself.

I not going to knock my old teacher, because I did learn a lot from him. But when I just listened to my current teachers lessons and looked through her examples of logos she had done, things got easier.

I like this logo WAY better than my old one. Though this is not going to be my final logo. I defiantly going to refine it later on.
